About The Teacher

I am a SUNY New Paltz graduate. I hold and B.S. in Art Education and a B.S. 
in Visual Arts with concentrations in painting, ceramics, and woodworking. I 
am currently a graduate student at New Paltz, studying Humanistic / 
Multicultural Education and I plan on graduating this May 2007. I currently 
teach one 7th grade class, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades at Fishkill 
Plains and Brinkerhoff Elementary School.

Mission For The Class

In this class students will experiment with many different types of art 
materials while studying the elements and principles of design. Students 
will learn about many artists of different cultures, genders, and 
ethnicities and develop an appreciation for many art forms in history. 7th 
graders will learn to look at art critically and speak about each others art 
with the proper art vocabulary and respect. Overall, our mission is to 
experience art to it's fullest extent and have loads of fun doing so.
