What is Student Government?

Student Government is the largest student organization at Van Wyck. We plan 
school dances, fundraisers and community events, as well as pep rallies, 
contests and other activities to boost Griffin spirit!

When does Student Government meet?

We usually meet on Thursdays after school.

What if my parents cannot pick me up after our meetings?

You can take the 4:00 bus home if you do not have a ride. If you are being 
picked up by a parent, you must be picked up no later than 3:50.

Who can join Student Government?

Student Government is open to all students in grades 6, 7 and 8. All students
must be academically eligible. Students are required to have Grade Sheets 
signed in order to continue participation in SGA. Forms can 
be picked up in the Main Office.
