I transferred to Wappingers Central School District in February of 2006 from Newburgh Enlarged City
School District where I was also a reading specialist. Before teaching in Newburgh, I taught second
and third grade in Rhinebeck. I am a graduate of the Wappingers Central School District so I feel as
though I've come home.
I live in Ulster County with my husband, our two sons, and our dog Dunkin. Yes, his name is Dunkin
Duncan.
I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education from SUNY New Paltz and later received my
master's degree in literacy from Mount Saint Mary College. I love teaching and I especially love
teaching reading. I hope that I can get all my students excited about reading so that they will do
more of it!
My mission is to have all my students reading for the pure enjoyment of reading!
