I can not express to you how important it is to sit with your child and read with them. That extra 15 min or so can make a world of difference. This year I will be sending home a reading log to be signed each night by the adult in the home. Homework will usually come home every night Monday-Thursday. Please look for your child's HW in their folder. Be sure to sign off on the HW so that I know you have seen it. If there is a night where an assignment can not be completed, please send in a note explaining the situation and other arrangements can be made. All homework is expected to be completed and returned to school. **CHILDREN SHOULD BE WORKING ON THEIR SIGHT WORDS EVERY NIGHT.** (The list will come home the night of Parents as Partners) SPELLING TEST EVERY FRIDAY!! Date: TBD If your child does not know how to spell their last name, please work with them at home. Your child should also know their birthday, address, and phone number. Please help your child to learn to tie their shoes.
