| Welcome to school year 2007-2008 at Wappingers Junior High School.
At Wappingers Junior High School teachers and staff will prepare all
students for further education to be productive, responsible citizens who
function effectively in a changing world. Our teachers and staff members
feel committed to helping every student reach their full potential. We
encourage students and parents to be an active partner in the accomplishment
of this mission.
We believe that every student can be successful. Our curriculum is
augmented with enrichment opportunities such as regent’s classes in Algebra,
Earth Science and Foreign Language. In addition we have electives in the
performing arts department that offers band, chorus and orchestra to our
students. Also our middle school offers a variety of extracurricular
activities for all students. Our administrators, teachers and staff are
well prepared and encourage all students to reach their full potential. Our
classes assist in providing a warm and inviting climate that allows teachers
to teach and students to learn in a safe and non-disruptive atmosphere
according to the district’s Code of Conduct.
We desire to work together as students, parents, educators and citizens to
ensure that our students are properly prepared to move to the next step in
