I love to speak and teach Spanish. I hope that my students develop the same
appreciation for the language. I studied Spanish through middle school and
high school. I visited Spain in my senior year of high school. I continued
on with my studies at Mount St. Mary College and recently graduated with a
Masters Degree in Spanish Literature and Secondary Education from SUNY New
Paltz. I have studied abroad in the cities of Segovia and Rota,
Spain. I have also traveled to Mexico and the Dominican Republic. I am
continually practicing and creating opportunities to use the language
outside the classroom. This is an important skill I will impart to my
students. It is very important to seek out opportunities to use the
language outside the school environment. It the act of speaking which helps
reinforce the students’ confidence and proficiency in a second language. I
hope that my students enjoy learning and speaking a second language as much
as I do.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions and concerns.
