(And Parents and Guardians)
Important Information
To Parents and Guardians:
After we complete "Flowers for Algernon", which we are currently
reading in class, I would like to show the students a movie, of the same title,
which I believe will enhance their understanding of the story's basic plot, theme,
characters and more. The film follows the plot of the written story, and will provide
an appropriate and educational opportunity for students to better understand
the short story being studied. I ask that you please e-mail me if you have any questions
or concerns about your child watching "Flowers for Algernon."
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sturomski
Other Important Information:
We are continuing to write in our journals, almost daily, in class.
Be sure to keep up with the entries by using the "Journal Entries" page.
We are well into the second quarter now. The five week marking period
ends December 18th. Make sure all work is up to date.
Currently in Class
We finished reading Daniel Keye's short story, "Flowers for Algernon" in class today.
Students who are absent should plan to see me for a copy of the story to borrow in order
to catch up with the reading.
