Continuum of Special Education Services For School-Age Students With Disabilities

Declassification with Support Services - CSE recommendation for a student who is being declassified from special education services. A related service will continue until the end of the school year.

Related Services Only - CSE recommendation for a student who meets the criteria for related services such as PT, OT, Speech Therapy and/or Counseling.

Consultant Teacher Indirect - CSE recommendation for a student in a general education setting. The Special Education Teacher assists the General Education Teacher in adjusting the learning environment and/or modifying instructional methods to meet student needs.

Consultant Teacher Direct - CSE recommendation for a student in a general education setting. The Special Education Teacher provides specially designed instruction to a student (or group of students).

Resource Room - CSE recommendation for a student in either a special class or general education setting who is in need of specialized supplementary instruction.

Integrated Co-Teaching - CSE recommendation for a student in a general education setting who receives specially designed instruction and academic instruction provided by a General Education Teacher in collaboration with a Special Education Teacher

Special Class (Non-Integrated) - CSE recommendation for a student who receives specially designed instruction by a Special Education Teacher in a non-integrated (self-contained) setting.

Home or Hospital Instruction - CSE recommendation for a student who is in need of specially designed instruction in an individual or group or hospital setting as indicated by medical documentation.

Out of District Program - Day Program - CSE recommendation for a student who is in need of specially designed instruction in a non-district intensive instruction program.

Out of District Program - Residential Program - CSE recommendation for a student who is in need of specially designed instruction in a residential intensive instruction program.
