About The Teacher
My name is Kim Schamberg and I have been teaching school for 17 years. I love working with children and enjoy seeing the excitement in their eyes when they learn new things! I attended Word of Life Bible Institute for my first year of college and then transferred to Cedarville University where I received my degree in Elementary Education. I have been married to my husband, Dave, for 19 years and we have one daughter, Morgan. Morgan is presently in the 6th grade at West Sayville Christian School. I have many hobbies that I enjoy doing like reading, scrapbooking, cross stitching and playing the piano. Alot of spare time is also spent at my church, Hicksville Christian Church, where my husband is the Pastor.

Mission
My goal this year for my First Graders is for them to feel safe and secure in my classroom and for them to have every opportunity to learn to the best of their ability. I want to spark their love for reading. I also desire that each student come to know the Lord as their personal Savior and to grow in his/her relationship with the Lord. Through my classroom I hope to further develop Christian character in their daily lives.
