Process

Step 1 - The first thing you will need to do in your group is decide which
role each person is going to play. Some of your roles may be decided by the
teacher.

Step 2 - Once this is decided, go to your individual role pages to get
further instructions and links to information. As you work on your role, you
will have to keep notes of your information.

Remember to think about what kinds of information you need to have to complete the task:
  • What do you need to know to answer your guiding questions?
  • What do you need to know to complete the "Amazing Brain" informational packet? What information do you need for your notesheets?
Use the following links to refresh your thinking about taking notes. You may want to use mind mapping techniques. Feel free to keep your notesheets using cluster maps or the Cornell notetaking system. Remember to put write your notes in your own words. (Notesheets provided by the teacher.) Click here for Mind Mapping tips. Check out the "how to mind map" section. Click here for cluster notes or Cornell notetaking system tips. Step 3 - When your group has collected notes, gather to create the information packet. Work together as a group to build the packet of information. There may be some choice involved when deciding what to produce as an information packet. See your teacher for help or ideas. Be sure to look at the Evaluation page of this webquest. Step 4 - When your information packet is complete, brainstorm ideas for your info-merical. Plan or script the info-mercial, create props if necessary, rehearse, etc. Be sure to look at the Evaluation page of this webquest. Step 5 - See your teacher for a schedule of group meetings, work deadlines, feedback, etc.

GOOD LUCK! The ACME Information Corporation and the "Amazing Brain" people are depending on your success!
