CHALLENGE DAY WILL BE MONDAY JUNE 23rd.
Welcome to the 07-08 Parents as Reading Partners program. Our theme this year
is Wild About Reading. Students and Parents were asked in September to
sign a contract and commit to reading 20 days of the month of October. For
those students meeting the challenge they participated in a Wild Rumpus with
Mrs. Benson in December. Also, in December, to keep the reading going parents
and students were asked again to commit to read 20 days of each month for 4
of the 6 remaining months of the 07-08 school year.
Each month students bring home a new book to keep,this is thanks to the
generosity of several local businesses. Each student also received at the end
of their first month of participation a tee shirt with this year's theme
which was designed by three different students. When students return their
correctly completed monthly reading calendar they also receive a small
incentive.
