OPTIONAL Activity Sheet for December 21 to January 3

There will be no "formal" activity sheet this week due to the holidays.
Also, please note there will be no "Talk to Me Tuesday" folder this week due
to the shortened week.
Kindergarten Holiday Survival Suggestions (OPTIONAL)
• Read to your child.
• Make thank you cards. Encourage your child’s writing efforts.
• Share cooking experiences. Measure or count. Compare more and less.
• Ask your child to help set the table. He/she will learn one to one
correspondence.
• Make up silly songs or rhyming songs with your child.
• Ask your child to help make a list before going shopping.
• Practice sight words-matching words.
• Talk to your child about the season and his or her feelings.
• As we get closer to returning to school have your child call a
classmate. This will help make the transition easier.
• Practice handwriting (capital letters).
• Keep a holiday journal. Make sure your picture has details and use
your inventive spelling.
