6th & 7th Grade English -
Test on "Chocolate Fever" will be on Thursday (November 12th). The format
will be as follows: multiple choice, short response, and graphic organizers.
Use the chapter notes you did in class and your character books to study. I
have also included a full set of notes for you to use as a back up to your
notes.

Chapter Review
Chapter 1
• Henry eats a lot of chocolate and his parents let him
Chapter 2
• Henry begins to feel strange
• Henry thinks that something is going to happen to him
• Henry notices brown freckle-like marks on his skin
Chapter 3
• Henry’s spots are noticed
• Mrs. Kimmelfarber and Mr. P think Henry’s marks are freckles
• Henry is upset by his condition (i.e. marks)
Chapter 4
• Mrs. Kimmelfarber brings Henry to Nurse Farthing and she tells him he
has a unidentified rash
• Henry notices spots popping up all over his body
Chapter 5
• Mrs. Green is informed that Henry is going to the hospital
• Dr. Fargo examined Henry in the hospital
• Dr. Fargo smelled chocolate and discovered that the brown spots were
really chocolate
Chapter 6
• Henry runs out of the hospital chased by nurses, policemen, Dr.
Fargo and guards
• Henry gets tired, he lays down and thinks about his predicament
(situation/problem)
• Henry says, “I can’t go back to the hospital/home” “I am on my own”
Chapter 7
• Henry goes to the schoolyard and is bullied by a group of kids due to
his condition
• Henry uses his condition as a way to defend himself from the bullies
• The bullies give into Henry’s story and are afraid of catching the
disease. They make a path for Henry to escape
Chapter 8
• Henry gets a ride from Mac the truck driver
• Mac and Henry eat together
• Henry turns down chocolate cake (this is the first time!)
• Mac encourages Henry to reach out to his parents
• Mac notices Henry’s spots but ignores them
Chapter 9
• Louie and Lefty hijacked Mac’s truck
• Louie and Lefty force Mac and Henry to the back of the truck
• Louie and Lefty thought they were stealing expensive furs but it was
chocolate bars
• Louie and Lefty were amazed by their situation
Chapter 10
• Louie and Lefty take Mac and Henry to the cabin in the country
• An army of dogs entered the cabin because they smelled chocolate on
Henry. The dogs jumped on Louie and Lefty
• The police handcuffed Louie and Lefty
Chapter 11
• Henry and Mac arrive at Alfred Cane’s warehouse
• “Sugar” shares his same experience with “Chocolate Fever” with Henry
• “Sugar” tells Henry how to cure “Chocolate Fever”

Chapter 12
• Henry is home with his family. At breakfast mom offers Henry
pancakes and he chooses to have maple syrup instead of chocolate – this is a
first!!! Perhaps Henry learned his lesson with chocolate fever.
• Henry’s sister introduces him to cinnamon and Henry fantasizes about
cinnamon on everything. He wonders is there such a thing as Cinnamon
Fever????
