The curriculum has been updated in recent years and the course has a new name as well! What are the units of study in grade 6 FACS? Students in grade 6 take FACS for two marking periods and will study Personal Development, Introduction to Careers, Child Care, Survival Skills, Consumerism and Clothing Care/Repair. What are the units of study in grade 7 FACS? Students in grade 7 take FACS for one marking period. They will study Nutrition/Wellness and Careers. What are the learning standards for FACS in NY state? (They are the same for Health and Phys. Ed!) STANDARD 1: PERSONAL HEALTH AND FITNESS Students will have the necessary knowledge and skills to establish and maintain physical fitness, participate in physical activity and maintain personal health.
