 Discipline PolicyDiscipline Policy Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! In order to maintain a positive learning environment, we will work together to enforce these classroom rules. Below is a list of those rules and consequences. Please read over the list of rules and consequences and discuss them with your child. Also keep in mind that other teachers such as music, art, library, and physical education, will be supervising your child during the year. They have the authority to enforce these rules and consequences also. This year we will be using the tag system. Your child will first receive a warning. If the behavior continues or is repeated, the student will be asked to take a tag from the tag board. If your child continues to misbehave, the teacher will call you and make you aware that your child’s behavior is not what it should be. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. RULES 1. No Tags Taken– Student had a great day! 2. One Tag Taken – Student will lose 10 minutes of recess. 3. Two Tags Taken – Student will lose 20 minutes of recess. 4. All Tags Taken – Student will lose all of recess. 5. All Tags Taken Two Days – Student will lose all of recess and contact will be made with the parent about behavior and possible conference. 6. All Tags Taken Three Days – Student loses all of recess and will be sent to the office for discipline. These days do not have to be consecutive.  |
