The French Hill Way to Treat Others 

The French Hill Way to Treat Others is a set of interpersonal expectations which foster positive and respectful behavior.  Monthly assemblies are held to implement and celebrate this initiative.

  • not make fun of other people or their ideas
  • walk quietly and orderly on the hallway
  • try not to leave others out of games.
  • say I'm sorry if I hurt someone's feelings
  • try to cheer up someone who is upset

Bully-Free School/Bus Proclamation

 

French Hill is a Bully-Free School!

 

Bullying is when one child or group of children hurts or frightens another child through words or actions.  Bullying is done on purpose and usually happens repeatedly (again and again).  Bullying can happen anywhere: on a bus, at school, in your neighborhood.

 

 

                             Bullying Includes

 

·        Hitting, Kicking, Shoving, Spitting

·        Teasing, Name Calling, Making Faces

·        Spreading Rumors

·        Leaving Others Out of Games

·        Making Others Feel Unwelcome

 

                             How To Handle Bullying

 

·        Walk Away

·        Be Assertive – Tell the Bully to Stop!

·        Find a Friend – Stand Together

·        Tell an Adult, Teacher, Aide, Parent

 

                             Rules Against Bullying

 

·        Do Not Bully Others

·        Help Students Who Are Bullied

·        Include Students Who Are Left Out

·        Tell an Adult at School and an Adult at Home when Somebody is Being Bullied

 

Bully-Free Is the Way to Be!

 

 

 

  • walk away and take a deep breath if someone
    or something makes me angry.
  • say please stop if someone is bothering me
    and let an adult know if they don't.
    ask before borrowing things that belong to others.
