Welcome to a new band year!
Hope all had an amazing summer and hopefully a musical one at that!
2009-2010 will bring the satisfaction of learning not only how to play an instrument, but also how to
play as a team in materializing enjoyable musical performances. As school starts we will see who needs
to rent an instrument and who perhaps already has an instrument think about possibly upgrading to a
better quality instrument. Please check here frequently as I will try to have this information updated.

It's almost October and lesson schedules are posted (see Instrumental Lessons)...We are doubling our
efforts to make sure that assignments given during lessons are completed, and here are where parents
come in!!....In the books your daughter/son receives, on the back page there is a "Home Practice
Record" that tells us how much time was spent practicing on the assignments given and the all
important sign of approval which is the parent's signature...Please make sure those books are signed...!
The small group lessons are where the nitty gritty breaking down of materials takes place, so make sure
the given times are adhered to..As always, quizzes, labs, trips come first when it comes to pull-out
lessons, but make sure we know ahead of time.........Thanks
