Mrs.Lewis has taught in the Learning Center at Mildred Strang for nine years.
She loves to read (of course!),paint and travel. Her favorite place to
visit on vacation is New Hampshire and she is learning to kayak on beautiful
Lake Winnepausaukee. Mrs. Lewis and her husband have two children, one in
high school and one in college. She has a very charming guinea pig named
Velvet, and a soft spot for Jack Russell terriers.
It is the hope of all the teachers in the Learning Center that our students
will learn the skills they need to be successful in middle school and
beyond. For some, it is perfecting reading strategies and writing
skills;for
others, it is the challenge to be more organized or to learn new ways to
prepare for tests. We want all of our students to feel confident in their
ablities to meet the NYS standards.
