The Yorktown Central School District has adopted a Wellness Policy and Mohansic adheres to its guidelines. Parents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the policy which can be found on the district website (www.yorktown.org). In accordance with this policy, no products containing peanuts or tree nuts will be sold or distributed to students or staff. In addition, only healthy snacks that meet the District Wellness Policy guidelines are permitted for distribution. As always, when selecting food for consumption by their children only (not for distribution), parents are free to use their own discretion.

In-School Parties and Holidays

Mini-muffins, mini-cupcakes, fruit, and/or vegetable trays are acceptable party treats. Water is the acceptable beverage for distribution. No candy may be distributed, however in some instances candy may be utilized in the creation of class projects.
