Reminders For Parents

WORKING PARENTS:
The helping parent MUST arrive by 9am. Please arrive earlier than 9:00 if
there is new fallen snow in order to shovel a few paths across the concrete
from the parking lot to the door. Don't forget to bring necessary items for
snack time. The teachers will keep the door to the classroom closed until
the helping parent arrives and spends a few minutes in discussion about the
day's schedule and duties.

WINTER WEATHER:
Please remember that if Livonia Central School closes school due to bad
weather, CLNS will automatically be closed too. School closings are listed
on the Livonia Central School District web site, the local television
channels, and on WHAM radio. If Livonia Central School has a delayed start
due to bad weather, CLNS will be closed. Also please remember that if we
have snow overnight or in the early morning, the working parent is
responsible for arriving at 8:50--ten minutes earlier than normal--in order
to shovel a couple of pathways from the parking lot to the door. If you are
unable to shovel for any reason, please have someone else lined up to shovel
for you.

PARENTS AND CARE PROVIDERS:
Our school day begins at 9:15. Please try to arrive as promptly as possible.
The door to the classroom will be closed at 9:25. If you arrive at school
after 9:25, please say your good-byes to your child as quickly as possible.

AT PICK UP TIME:
Our school day ends at 11:40. Mrs. Norton will give a brief list of the
day's activities and give any messages or reminders at this time. If you
arrive later than 11:40, please wait until all of the children have been
dismissed before asking questions of the teachers.

Please check the bulletins in the hallway for schedules and important
information as well. Also please remember to check your mail box in the
hall every day.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO WORK ON YOUR DESIGNATED WORKING PARENT DAY
You have three options:
1. You can switch days with another family.
2. You can ask someone from your family, such as a grandparent, to fill in
for you. You will need to explain what the responsibilities will be.
3. You can pay another parent to work as your substitute. You will need to
pay the working substitute parent $12 to fill in for you and you will still
need to provide the snack and drink for the class.
