What are the school hours?
Buses unload at 8:50 am each morning. Students go directly to their
classroom. For student who do not take the bus, drop off is at 8:45 am.
Dismissal begins at 3:30 pm.
What should I do if my child is absent?
To pick up missed work for an extended absence, contact the Main Office and
leave a message for the homeroom teacher. Work can be picked up at the main
office from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Upon returning to school, a note giving the
dates and reason for absence is required.
How can I reach my child's teacher?
You may call the Main Office at 463-7322. A note will be placed in the
teacher's mailbox and the teacher will respond at her/his earliest
convenience. You may also write a note and send it to school with your
child. If it is an emergency or a change in dismissal or pick up, the staff
in the Main Office will call the teacher's room.
If I need to pick up my child at school , what should I do?
Send a note to school with your child indicating the time of pick up. The
teacher will make sure that the Main Office receives the note. You may also
call the Main Office and give the pick-up information to the office staff. If
the pick-up time is before dismissal, come to the Main Office to sign out
your child. If you plan to pick up your child at dismissal, please indicate
this on the note. You may park in the lower parking lot. The main
lobby doors will be opened at 3:25. Your child will be waiting. You must
sign out your child whenever you pick her/him up.
If my child is absent, how can I obtain his/her classwork or homework?
Each teacher has a classroom policy regarding missed schoolwork or homework.
These policies are explained at Parents as Partners Night or you may ask your
child's teacher directly. Please remember that it takes a bit of time for
the teacher to collect the necessary materials and to and write instructions
for missed work. Therefore, absent child work should be picked up at the end
of the school day. Materials will be labeled and placed on the counter in
the Main Office.
