Dear Future Sixth Grade Student,
Welcome to Sixth Grade! We hope that you have a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you in the fall. To help you get off to a great start, here is a list of supplies that you will need for the school year. Please be sure to have these items for the first day of school:
· ONE (1 ½) inch binder
(Please DO NOT buy larger than 1 ½ inch, or everything will not fit into your new desk!)
· Four folders (with holes, for holding papers)
· One pack of looseleaf paper
· Six marble composition books
· Sketch book for art class: 8 x 10 or 8 ½ x 11: (white pages only!)
· Pens, pencils, erasers (blue or black for writing, one red pen/pencil for correcting)
· Small hand-held pencil sharpener
· Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
· Soft 3-ring pencil case (to hold the essentials: pens, pencils, highlighters, erasers, small sharpener…can be carried with you to class)
· Plastic supply box for supplies (to be left in the classroom with crayons, etc…)
· Two highlighters
· One glue stick
· Ruler (metric and standard)
· Index cards on a spiral (2 packs of 3x5) (Green Team only)
· 2 non-stick book covers
· Box of tissues (175 count)
· A free-read book of your choice will be needed at all times
At Home: You will need a dictionary and thesaurus.

· Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
· 2 Boxes of tissues (175 count)
· Scissors (small)
· Highlighters
· 1 flexible pencil case
Please label everything to avoid mix-ups and hard feelings.
At Home: You will need a dictionary and thesaurus.
