Learn new words. Help end hunger. This is the mission behind the website Free Rice.

Players are presented with vocabulary words and must select the answer that best defines the word. When the correct answer is selected, the next word that is presented is harder. If an incorrect answer is selected, an easier word is given. For each correct answer, 20 grains of rice are donated to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP). Players can continue to play and donate rice for as long as they want to play. Vocabulary levels start at a level 1 and progress to level 55, though it is rare for people to play past level 48.

Sponsors of the Free Rice site pay for the rice that is sent to countries all over the world. The top ten rice delivery recipients of 2007 by the WFP were:
