Hello and welcome to my web page! I find this to be a useful tool for
parents in trying to keep you up to date with school activities and
important dates. I am looking forward to a great year with your child and
cannot wait to get started!
Sometime this week I will be sending home the last book order for the 2009
school year. I don't send one in December because I feel families have
enough other expenses to worry about. We will do a book exchange in our
classroom. A boy will bring in a book for a boy and a girl will bring in a
book for a girl. Students will not know until the day of our holiday party
who will be receiving the book they bring in. This book order will be due on
November 13th. You will not receive another book order from me until the end
of January.
Our Taste Fease for first and second grade will be on November 25th at 1:30
in the High School Cafeteria. Soon, we will ask for volunteers to help set
up and get plates ready for the feast. You are welcome to let me know ahead
of time if you are interested in helping.
We are doing our best to do extra things to try and keep the kids healthy in
our classroom. Clorox/disinfectant wipes are used frequently to wipe off
desks and tables. We still have some of these left to use. If you would
like to send in extra donations that would be wonderful. We use the hand
sanitizer as well. The school provides that.
Also, if your child reads/sings any of the color word books to you and you
sign them saying they did so. Your child will earn a prize from me when
he/she returns the signed item. This will also occur when the paper yellow
and salmon colored reading books start coming home that go along with our
series.
