All children benefit from reading. Spend time reading to your child and make
sure your child is always enjoying a good book independently. Discuss books
with your child and bring your child to the library.
It is also important for children to memorize their multiplication facts.
Flahcards and computer games are helpful. Memorized facts are the foundation
for problem solving activities. If children are not laboring over basic
facts, they can become more absorbed in problem solving math activites.
Museums and art galleries are also wonderful places for children to visit!
