A very happy and healthy new year to all...
I've told students that we are starting two of the most important (and challenging) topics of the year - creation of U.S. Constitution and Civics (how our government actually works today). Students will definitely have to do the work and study to be successful. Vocabulary quiz on Constitution vocabulary will be this Friday.
Test corrections (7R) for December's American Revolution exam will be tomorrow after school in room 132.
On a lighter note, WJH is partnering with PTA and Barnes/Noble to put on a fun family night in February called, "Are You Smarter than a Principal?" Kind of a jeopardy game pitting students against Mr. DiGrandi. Our team is looking for 6 students to generate appropriate questions and to participate in the game show. Looking for "good citizens" who put effort into class work and homework, as well as students who demonstrate positive classroom behavior. Interested students have been instructed to apply in writing with reason(s) why they want to participate and why they should represent our team.
