Welcome to clothing management, please feel free to check here for ongoing
assignments at any time. You or your child will be able to see assignments
here or on the board in the classroom.
Due December 23- recommended supplies for clothing class-
3/4 yard of cotton or cotton blended fabrics
Please no fleece, knits or metallics and not the "Fat
Quarters" that the craft stores carry.
1/3 yard of a different fabric
1/8 yard of a third fabric this can be a solid as it is an
accent piece.
This fabric will be used to create their own personal
pillowcase and I emphasize that the students should pick fabric that they
like and that expresses themselves or their interests. This should not cost
a large amount of money- Walmart, joann's, Hobby lobby or any quilt shop
carries the appropriate fabrics.
Pin cushions are due December 22
Clothing report projects are due December 16
The report needs to be at least 5 pages long-font not bigger than 14
1 page is the cover sheet with name, period, title and picture on it.
1 page is the works cited page using noodletools as shown in class
3 pages text based on research in the library
Laundry Assignment is due December 23
They can do up to 5 extra loads of laundry for up to 5 extra credit points on
their average. Please write a note letting me know if this is done.
I post them 7-14 days before they are due. Since advanced notice is given
for these assignments, the three day make-up rule does not apply to
assignments that are given 7-14 days in advanced. It is expected that if the
student was absent the day before it was due, that they will still turn in
their assignment on the appropriate day. Classwork that is incomplete can be
finished during time allocated for sewing. Any problems or questions please
contact me either via email or at 298-5200 ext. 125 Thanks.
