Expectations

Dear Parents and Students,

As you begin a new school year, I hope you are anticipating the many exciting experiences that will be presented to you throughout the school year.

With weekly attendance and participation, the LEAP program will be a success. I promise not every day will be easy. LEAP is designed to offer challenges above grade level. You will often work with a partner or a team on projects and assignments so it is important to come to class weekly.

Being part of the LEAP program means you understand the expectations of LEAP. In the event of an absence, you will be sent home any work from that day and that work will be due at the following LEAP class.

*Students and their families realize that LEAP is not only a commitment, but a privilege.

*Students are expected to be organized with due dates of projects.

*Students are expected to come to LEAP with an open and determined mind.

*Students are expected to face challenges and look to success.

*Students should think BEFORE they act, especially when working with teams.

*Students are expected to enjoy learning in a challenging, open-minded environment.

*MOST OF ALL, Students are expected to set goals, work toward them and achieve!
