What did we do in LEAP last week?
We Continue to work on fourth quarter logic packets, We are reading
the Harry Potter or Percy Jackson, Students are working very hard on
their Car/boat challenge. We are preparing for our Harry Potter Mock
Trial at the University of Toledo next week.
What are we working on in LEAP next week?
Students are going to be attending a field trip to the University of
Toledo to participate in the Harry Potter Mock Trial, We will then
return to Whitehouse and students will compete in the Car/ Boat
Challenge. We will also be saying farewell to Waterville students in
their last day of LEAP for fourth grade.
Please send lunch ticket money...why? How much is lunch?
Monclova & Waterville LEAP Students:
You will only be permitted to bring cash for hot lunch or charge to
their home school account.
The menu and prices for lunches are the same at Whitehouse as
your home school.
Please let me know if we need to order juice for LEAP days
at Whitehouse due to health reasons.
Do I get Homework in LEAP?
Not usually. You will have homework if you fall behind or are absent from
LEAP. This work is due the following LEAP day.
Be sure to keep up with homework from your regular classroom. Take your time
and finish it well. I recommend meeting with your regular classroom
teachers in the morning to get assignments for that day prior to getting on
the bus and coming to LEAP. This should only take a few minutes of time.
Ask questions from your teachers if you do not understand something you
missed.
What if there is a fog, snow or power-outage delay?
LEAP will STILL BE HELD! We will alter our day just as you would in your
regular classroom.
What if Mrs. Gutierrez is ill?
You will have a substitute teacher or LEAP will be canceled in the
event there is not a substitute available.
Are there holiday parties at LEAP?
Yes, letters will be sent home for classes that those dates apply to.
What treats are acceptable?
Juice/Punch
cookies/desserts
fruit/healthy choices
chips/popcorn
paper products
festive additions to these ideas
My Birthday is coming, can I celebrate at LEAP?
We will take time to recognize your child's birthday on that day or during
their birthday week. Feel free if you'd like to send something, but YOU DO
NOT HAVE TO SEND A TREAT TO LEAP! I understand this could become too
much with your students home classroom and the LEAP classroom.
