What did we do in LEAP last week?

Students continue to learn about  the many types of Logic as we go
more in depth with Number Circuit puzzles.
We had students present fourth quarter current events
In Math we are continuing our Awesome Algebra unit as we further
explored Patterns we found using our hundreds charts.
In Reading we continue to read The Whipping Boy. We have held some
great discussions about what we have read.
In science we wrapped up the Observation by taking home our
growing seeds and played a observation game of I have who has....

What are we working on in LEAP next week?

This will be the last week of LEAP for the 2012-2013 school year. 
We will be working on Wrapping up Logic, Finishing the Novel
The Whippping Boy, and completing a math assignment.

Do I get Homework in LEAP?

Not usually.  You will have homwork if you fall behind or are absent from 
LEAP. This work is due the following LEAP day.

Be sure to keep up with homework from your regular classroom. Take your
time
and finish it well.
Ask questions from your teachers if you do not understand something you
missed.

Why would/wouldn't LEAP cancel

What if Miss Mrs. Gutierrez is ill?
You will have a substitute teacher or LEAP will be cancelled in the event
there is not a substitute
available.
What if there is a fog, snow or power-outage delay?
LEAP will STILL BE HELD! We will alter our day just as you would in your
regular
classroom.

Why send money to Whitehouse for lunch?

Monclova & Waterville LEAP Students:
You will only be permitted to bring cash for hot lunch or charge to
their home school account.
The menu and prices for lunches are the same at Whitehouse as
your home school.

How much is lunch?

Lunch prices at Whitehouse are the same as your home school. 
please let me know if we need to order juice for LEAP days
at Whitehouse due to health reasons.

Are there holiday parties at LEAP?

Yes.  Information will be sent home to students in classes that the parties 
apply to.

My Birthday is coming, can I celebrate at LEAP?

We will take time to recognize your child's birthday on that day or during 
their birthday week. Feel free if you'd like to send something, but YOU DO
NOT HAVE TO SEND A TREAT TO LEAP! I understand this could become too
much with your students home classroom and the LEAP classroom.
