About The Teacher

     I have been teaching at Pacelli for 21 years, and before that  I was at

Sycamore High School  where I taught freshman Literature, American 
Literature and advanced placement American Literature. I graduated 
from Miami Univeraity in 1968  with  A degree in English Literature 
minoring in French Literature, European History  and education. In 2002 
I attended the Ohio Writing Project at Miami and have done masters 
hours at Xavier. The summer of 2006 I did the Cornerstone Workshop 
XXVI  through Fransiscan University of Stubenville. 
     I am from Oak Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago where I attended Oak 
Park River Forest High School. Oak Park was home to Earnest Hemmingway,  
Frank Lloyd Wright and Edgar Rice Burroughs, The author of TARZAN.
     I enjoy playing bridge in three clubs, reading , baking, movies, music, 
the ballet and playing with my five beautiful grandchildren who range in age 
from two years old to fifteen. I feel very blessed to work with such 
incredible 
students here at Cardinal Pacelli.

Mission For The Class

To help students see themselves in the characters we study and realize 
the 
human condition is universal. We can all learn from one another. I hope 
they 
will become comfortable with the writing process and Feel confident in 
their 
skill levels in grammar and composition.
