I have been teaching at Pacelli for 20 years, and before that I was at
Sycamore High School where I taught freshman Literature, American
Literature and advanced placement American Literature. I graduated
from Miami Univeraity in 1968 with A degree in English Literature
minoring in French Literature, European History and education. In 2002
I attended the Ohio Writing Project at Miami and have done masters
hours at Xavier. The summer of 2006 I did the Cornerstone Workshop
XXVI through Fransiscan University of Stubenville.
I am from Oak Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago where I attended Oak
Park River Forest High School. Oak Park was home to Earnest Hemmingway,
Frank Lloyd Wright and Edgar Rice Burroughs, The author of TARZAN.
I enjoy playing bridge in three clubs, reading , baking, movies, music,
the ballet and playing with my five beautiful grandchildren who range in age
from one year to fourteen. I feel very blessed to work with such incredible
students here at Cardinal Pacelli.
To help students see themselves in the characters we study and realize
the
human condition is universal. We can all learn from one another. I hope
they
will become comfortable with the writing process and Feel confident in
their
skill levels in grammar and composition.
