I began teaching at Chapel Hill Christian School in the fall of 1986. I
have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Akron in education with
math as my specialty. I really enjoy working with students for math
tutoring and math enrichment. I also help keep the classroom computers up and
running, provide technical support for the teachers, and work with students
in using the computers in the classrooms. I began working with computers
as a college student and have enjoyed using them and learning about new areas
of technology for more than thirty-five years. I coordinate the
Math Olympics for the North Campus, too.
You can reach me at the North Campus Mod (330-928-6089) on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
The Lord has blessed me with this special opportunity to serve Him at CHCS.
My husband is pastor of Cornerstone Mennonite Church in Hartville, Ohio.
Both of our children graduated from Chapel Hill Christian School. Our daughter,
Sarah, is married to Shaun Byler and lives in Hartville. She graduated from Malone College
with a degree in accounting/business administration and likes to work with numbers, too!
They have a daughter, Sophia, who was just born in October. We hope she likes math!
Our son, Seth, graduated with a degree in architecture from Kent State University. He
lives in Seattle, Washington and likes to use computers! You can see some of things that
he has designed at www.graypants.com, especially his Scrap Lights from recycled cardboard.
Seth was at CHCS on September 24, 2009 and spoke to the 5th and 6th grade art classes and showed
them three of his Scrap Lights. He also shared about recycling and showed his Scrap Lights in Mrs.
Sebright's 2nd grade class. Check out the News Flash page for some pictures, too.
We became grandparents on October 5, 2009! Check out our new granddaughter on the News Flash
page!
To assist students in improving their math skills and have some fun
with math, too.
