About The Teacher

Mrs. Kathryn Vrabel
After falling in love with French and Spanish as a high school student, I went on to double major in them at Youngstown State University. I graduated with a BA in both and began teaching in 1989. I got married the same year to a wonderful man who loves muscle cars and hot rods. You might catch us out at Chili's or the Hot Rod Nationals in our '66 Impala. We have two children: Brianna, who is a senior here at Crestview this year, and Reimi, a fourth-grader. I have my master's degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University. In my spare time I love to read, fiddle with my computer, and cross stitch.
Mission Label:
Mission
Although I've had several opportunities to travel to French-speaking Canada, I haven't yet made it to France or Spain. Life has a funny way of taking you places you never dreamed of going, but they are the places you needed to be all along. If you would have asked me when I was in high school where I would travel one day, my answer would have been Paris or Madrid. Never would I have imagined that my path would take me to China. It was a fantastic experience! I'd love to share it with you. Please ask! Here I am on the Great Wall with my friend Cari. I am, of course, sitting down since I am terribly afraid of heights. I never made it any farther than this, but it was still awesome. The graphics on Mrs. Vrabel's Website are for viewing purposes only.
