RED WORDS

Red words, also known as sight words, are words that we frequently use in reading and writing. Therefore, it is very important the children can read and spell them with ease. Every Monday we are introduced to 2-5 new red words. We write them, trace them, do an “on the back” activity (such as rhyming words), and write them in our index rings. Throughout the week we chant the words in various ways, play word games, and review. Below is the list of words for stories 1-16.They are  in order according to our weekly basal story.
