It is very necessary to purchase a graphing calculator. Texas 
Instrument (Ti-83 or Ti-84). This calculator is a necessary tool for 
all the math to make sense. They not only figure out answers, 
students also see graphically how the algebra takes place. There 
will be enough calculators for each class but not enough to take 
home. I highly advise to purchase one to use at home. It will also 
be needed to for future math courses. 
Bring paper, folder/binder receptacle, and writing utensils. Every 
year there are a number of students that do not bring writing 
utensils and paper to class. I cannot supply students day in and day 
out with these basic needs.
