FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6TH, 2009
MATH:
We are wrapping up our unit on computation. This unit has included
estimation, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We have
already tested over estimation, addition and subtraction. On Thursday,
November 12th, we will be having a test over estimation, multiplication and
division. Please look math papers to come home with your child on Monday to
help prepare for our test. We will also be preparing during class early next
week.
Beginning on Monday, November 16th, we will be starting into our next unit -
Fractions, Decimals and Percents.
SCIENCE:
In addition to wrapping up our current math unit, we are also wrapping up our
Life Sciences unit. Yesterday, the kids took a vocabulary test over the 14
words that we have been learning about during this unit. I will pass back the
vocabulary tests for students to use on our unit test this Wednesday, November
11th. As a class, we have already started to prepare for this upcoming
science test. Please ask your child to see the short answer questions we have
practiced answering in class.

Tuesday, November 10th is a late start. School will begin at 10:15 a.m.
Wednesday, November 11th - Band Concert - 6 p.m.
