I have been teaching music for 31 years. I started teaching high school band
and choir in Wheaton, Md in 1971.
I enjoy working with all ages. My "job" has never seemed like a job!
I have a Master's degree in Music Composition from Catholic University in
Washington,D.C.I have written music for film and Television as well as many school
groups. I continue to write music for school bands and orchestras. I am
currently working on developing a web site that would produce and sell music that can be used in the
classroom.
I am also playing keyboard in my son's band- the Andy Shaw band.

I want all the children to have a positive experience in music. I want them
to enjoy the process of making music. I want them to sing,dance,listen and
create every time they come to class!
Music will be with them all their lives. We've only just begun!
