How can I reinforce what was learned that day at school? Do flash cards of the alphabet,numbers or colors. Read every day for 15 minutes either with or to your child. What is the K-Ral state test and Aimes web testing for? Both of these test are geared to help us collect data that will help assist each individual students needs. They also will me the main component for Title I selection. At Indian Trail, we administrate Aimes web three times a year. The Kral will only be administrated and the beginning of the school year. What is Title I and why is my child eligble for it? Title I is a great resource funded by the State of Ohio. Selection for Title I students in Kindergarten is based solely on the K-Ral and Aimes Web test. We take data from both test and then send our recommendations to Title I reading teachers in the building. The reading teacher will assist on a individualized basis a program geared towards each child. Title I reading will be everyday for 30 minutes. It is an essential part of a well rounded curriculum for our students. Title I will only take a group of no more than 5 students at a time. It is a very intensive reading/writing intervention. |
