Hi! My name is April Mealick and I will be your child's teacher this school
year. This is my fifth year teaching Kindergarten. I am excited
for this school year and to see all the progress your child will make
throughout the year.
I graduated from Ohio University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Early
Childhood Education and recently finished my Masters in Early Childhood
Education with a specialization in Reading and Literacy. Before I began
teaching at Newton, I taught preschool at the Licking County YMCA and was an
after school director for their after school program.
I have been with my husband Chris for almost 10 years! We have a little boy,
Cayden, who is three years old and the joy of my life!
In my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking, going to hockey games, watching
Ohio State and Indiana Football and going to concerts!
Our classroom mission is to make friends, have fun, and learn so we are
prepared for first grade.
