Thomas McLeish is a graduate of Otterbein College where he earned a
Bachelors Degree in Music Education. His teaching experience includes 31
years in music education. Two years at Waynesfield-Goshen High School in
Waynesfield, Ohio, four years at Tri-Valley High School in Dresden, Ohio,
nineteen years at River View School District in Warsaw, Ohio currently
in his sixth year at Utica High School in Utica, Ohio.
Mr. McLeish’s bands have successfully competed in O.M.E.A. Adjudicated
Events for all of those years. He has served O.M.E.A. as president of
District X, as a Marching Band Adjudicator, Solo and Ensemble Adjudicator
and a Large Group Adjudicator. He is a member of Phi Beta Mu, American
School Band Directors Association, and the Ohio Music Educators Association.
Mr. McLeish has been married for 31 years to his wife Kathy. Tom and
Kathy live in Newark, Ohio. Kathy works in Musukingum County and is the
executive director of PRO-Muskingum - Family and Children First. They have
two daughters, Heather and Meghan. Heather works for the American Electric
Power Company as a trainer in downtown Columbus. Meghan works for
LACA in Newark, Ohio. Both girls live in Pataskala, Ohio.
To provide children with a quality instrumental music experience that will
last a lifetime.
