What We Learned This Past Week.... As we continue through the season of Advent, the children learned about the candle of peace. With the other students at the ECC, they participated in the Advent prayer service in the gym on Monday. We read a story about the Christmas Story and discussed how the characters in the story relate to some of their parts in the Christmas Program. The children are doing a wonderful job understanding the true meaning of Christmas as we continue to talk about the birth of Jesus. We have been busy practicing for the program. The children have been working hard to learn the words to our songs. Mrs. Rospert and I are so proud of them! On Thursday, the children went to the Atrium with Mrs. McLaughlin for the Good Shepard program. Mrs. Rospert also took the children in small groups to the computer lab. They are learning skills using the keyboard and mouse as they play computer games. Our Christmas tree in the classroom is now beautifully decorated with snowflake ornaments that the children made. We have also been busy working on some special Christmas projects or surprises that will be sent home later! Christmas Program Just a reminder that our class Christmas Program will be held this Wednesday, December 16th at 10:00 am in the gym at the ECC.
