Our class has adopted six senior citizens, who are residents of Norwalk Memorial Home. Students made trees for them and wrote letters last week. I will be delivering these this week.
Students may wear jeans on Friday with a holiday shirt.
We will be shopping at the Secret Santa shop on Tuesday, December 15.
All students will need to to complete all of the timed test by the end of the second grading period. This will count as a test grade for Math.
Students need to recite the December prayer (Joyful Mysteries) before Christmas break.
Science test on Tuesday.

Math
vocabulary words: expression, equation, variable
We have finished chapter 9. We will have a chapter test on Wednesday this week. We will then begin chapter 10, which is about multiplying by more than one digit.
We will continue to take timed multiplication tests. Students should be working on their flashcards at home. During second semester, we will be taking timed tests over division facts.
Language Arts
W will continue our Christmas novel-- The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. There will be a test over the ntire book on Monday, December 21. We will be watching the movie next Tuesday in class.
We will also continue to work in grammar with singular possessive nouns. There will be another quiz over this on Thursday this week.

Social Studies
We will complete chapter 5 and fill out the study guide today. The test will be this Friday, December 18. We will be watching a short movie about the Battle of Lake Erie this week.
Religion
We will be discussing Advent and the many symbols of the season. We will have an open book over that section on Thursday.
