What scholarships are available to my senior?
There are so many! St. Paul typically releases a booklet of local scholarships that are available, look for this to be sent home with seniors around the first of the year.Back to Top
Can you suggest or find the program that my student wants to study?
I will have to be honest, I do not yet have the experience with college advising to be able to speak to the best programs or make best fit suggestions for students. This will come with more time in the job. I am able to talk with students about colleges within states that they are looking for. For example, if your student wants to pursue a physical therapy degree, I can help them find what colleges/ universitites in the state of Ohio (or Pennsylvnia, or New York, etc...) that would offer that program. From there it is up to your student to do a little investigating on their own by getting on the college/ university's website, request information, and compare their choices. I am more than happy to share the information that I might have in my office with them (viewbooks, applications, etc...).Back to Top
How many college visit days does my student get excused from school?
Juniors get one day per school year, and seniors get two days excused to visit college campuses. they need to stop in the office to get a form for the visit to be approved ahead of time, and then on their return to school, need to have confirmation from the admissions office that they visited that they were there.Back to Top
