Hello,
We will start our new chapter after Thanksgiving break. This week we will
work on a packet, reviewing math concepts that we have already worked on in
class.
Continue to study facts!
This week in English we will continue working on helping verbs and
contractions with not. Helping verbs presented a bit of a challenge so we
had to work on them a few extra days.
Science: We will continue our chapter about animals and how they eat, but we
will be talking about food chains and food webs. The students will be making
a food chain in class. The test will be coming up, probably next Monday. I
will tell the children in class Monday.
Homework will start to come home regularly now that we have started into the
subject matter. Watch their planner, everything should be written in the
boxes. Please check each subject and make sure you see the finished product.
Now that the weather is starting to get cooler, please make sure your child
has the appropriate outerwear. Ten o'clock recess can be chilly this time of
year.
