Hello,
This coming week will in Math we will continue working on multiplication. F
The kids learned what multiplication actually is, groups
with equal amounts. This is important so they have the understanding and not
just think of it a facts. We have not and I do NOT want them to study facts
yet. I go through and they learn some rules which will eliminate some of the
memorization. The kids will know when they need to start studying. They
will also be required to memorize some multiplication rules, these will be
written in their math notebook.
In English we are continuing our chapter on Adjectives. We will be doing
some fun activities with this chapter.
Science- We are continuing work in our chapter on Matter.
The end of the quarter is fast approaching, please make sure all work is
completed and turned in on time.
Homework will continue to come home regularly. Watch their planner,
everything should be written in the boxes. Please check each subject and
make sure you see the finished product.
Now that the weather is starting to get cold, please make sure your child
has the appropriate outerwear, gloves, hats and heavy coats. We do go out if
there is no snow on the playground and there is no wind chill. Ten o'clock
recess can be especially cold this time of year.
