Each student in grades 4-8 should have a folder for all of their computer papers. Please bring a pen or pencil to class also. I will have scrap paper available for you. Students in grade 4, 5, and 6 may bring flash drives to school to save documents. The lab computers do not have floppy drives, so please do not plan on using floppy disks to save documents. Students in Junior High must have an active Public Library card and a flash drive(also called a flash stick or jump drive) to bring work to and from school. (Target, Staples, and Radio Shack seem to have good prices on these. As of Sept. 8, 2009 Office Max had 4GB flash drives for $9.99. I know Office Depot has been selling them at this price too. Even Big Lots sells flash drives on occasion.) The flash drive must be scanned for viruses every time they use it at school.
