Welcome back! Happy 2010!
DUE TO THE SNOW..............we will celebrate crazy hat day on MONDAY, January 11. We will also finish up the letter Hh.

You should have all received your January calenders. As you can see from the calendar, we have many exciting activities planned for January!
Letter "Ww" week we will see how WACKY we can be on WACKY WEDNESDAY, January 13! No uniforms this day, just your wackiest outfit. See your flyer for details!
We are still counting up to the 100TH Day of School, it will be here soon!
Parents: a special snack list will be coming home for help with our 100TH day celebration snack. Hopefully if we have no snow days, we will be celebrating this the first week of February.
Important newsletter/flyer will be coming home regarding "Catholic Schools Week" activities. (week of January 31) Make special note of all
school "PENNY WAR". START SAVING YOUR PENNIES!!! Please mark your calendars for OLL Open House, Sunday, January 31 from 11:00-1:00.
Information will be sent home regarding Kindergarten "Lit-Kits", special weekly reading activities for you and your child. Please check backpacks for
this information. Lit-Kits will start coming home January 25.
January 19 we will begin "WORD BANKS". At the beginning of the school year you were requested to send in a ring binder of index cards. These will be
used as your childs "BANK' for his/her words. This is an ongoing activity until the end of the year. The children will sound out and spell words.
These words will be printed in their "WORD BANK". Everyday they will be asked for a word they can "read/sound out". Please practice these skills at home
with your child. A good souce of words are your child's rhyming wheels, rhyme slides and rhyming books.
Just a reminder, when your child is absent from school, you must send in a written note explaining the absence. Thanks for your help.
We got caught in the rain on Wednesday on our walk to music class. Please be sure your child has a small umbrella in their backpack.
Sweatshirts and jackets are getting lost in the mix. Please check your child's items and make sure you have the right ones. PLEASE mark all jackets, sweatshirts, hats etc with your child's name.
I hope this Christmas Season is filled with joy, hope and Christ for your family.
