SUMMER READERS
Pop Open a Good Book!
Our Lady of Lourdes School
May 26, 2009
Join us again this summer by encouraging your child to read!
Help your child/children gear up for a summer of reading.
You can read for free—it isn’t hard.
All that you need is a library card!
Record the books your child reads on the back of this letter. If you are
already participating in the Public Library Summer Reading Program, you may
send a copy of that list.
When school resumes in the fall, have your child return his/her reading log
to the library with a photograph of the student reading. All photographs
will be displayed outside the library. Each student who participates will
receive a certificate in recognition of his/her reading achievements.
This summer as you relax by the pool, travel to exotic places, or hang out
in your backyard, remember reading together is one of the best ways to help
your child succeed in school and life. Make reading a part of your family’s
summer fun!
Have a great summer!
