Can I charge my child's lunch account on line?

 Can I charge my child's lunch account on line?
No, We have not implemented the credit card option yet because we have not 
had much need for it.  Accounts can be charged up by sending in a check or 
cash.  If sending amounts over 5.00 I recommend a check.

 How do I know when my child's account is close to 0?
The cashiers in each school will be equipped with printers this year and 
they will print out reminders to send home each week on Friday.  You will 
get a reminder only if your child's account falls below $4.00.  Remember the 
price of lunch and any extras you are permitting and do the math!  The idea 
behind having a lunch account is to pay in advance.  Many parents choose to 
send in $50 or $100 at a time, but you can send as much as you feel 
comfortable with.

 If my child runs out of money in their account will they still be able to eat?
Yes...BUT, WE DISCOURAGE THIS!!! If your child is in a negative balance, 
they will be permitted no snacks and are required to charge a full Type A 
lunch (See announcements page for a definition).  You are expected to pay 
for any charges immediately.  The building principal will receive a list of 
students with charges that are more than 1 week old. Report cards will not 
be given out to students who have charge balances at the end of the school 
year.

 How do I control how much money my child is spending on extras?
Call the Food Service office at 330-757-7034 and request a daily spending 
limit to be set for your child.  There is NO OPTION for a weekly limit, ONLY 
DAILY!!  Remember, if your child does not buy a TYPE A lunch and buys 
primarily Ala Carte then they will not be able to buy like this if you set 
limits on extras (ala carte items).

This was a problem in the beginning of the program but I have now eliminated 
entree's from the "extra" classification in the program so they can buy as 
many entree items as they want.

 My Child has food allergies.  Where can I get ingredient and recipe info?
There are general recipes in the forms area of this web page.  I have put 
together a few binders to hand out to parents who have children with food 
allergies.  Please call my office at 330-757-7034 to request one and you can 
come in and pick it up!
